What is Structural Integration?
Structural Integration (SI) is a form of bodywork developed by Dr. Ida P. Rolf that focuses on systematically aligning the body’s fascial network to improve posture, balance, and movement. Unlike massage or chiropractic care, SI uses gravity as a therapeutic force, allowing the body to integrate changes between sessions.

The Process:
SI typically involves a 10-session series known as The Series. Each session builds on the last, addressing different layers and segments of the body to create lasting structural change.
-
Sessions 1–3: Focus on loosening the outer layers of fascia, improving breath, and aligning the feet, legs, and pelvis.
-
Sessions 4–7: Target deeper structures, creating alignment through the core, pelvis, spine, and head. These sessions often spark new awareness and ease in movement.
-
Sessions 8–9: Address emerging imbalances, refining connections between front and back, left and right, upper and lower body.
-
Session 10: Integrates the entire body, ensuring joints track properly and tension is resolved, while reviewing progress and planning next steps.
Individualized Approach:
While the goal is to complete the series in 10 sessions, some clients may need preparation beforehand or additional sessions based on their unique needs.
